Everyday Moments 3

 Brody loves, loves, looooooves to build things!!! Oftentimes at naps or nighttime, we'll hear him pounding away downstairs with a hammer, with no idea of what he's building, but always very eager to find out! Yesterday, Brody came up with a snack catapult that he built for Charley, and this morning he came up with a homemade slingshot that he made. Way to go, Brody!! Please never stop building things!! Among many other things, Brody has built me bookshelves and an egg container for our farm-fresh eggs. I love his creations so much!!

      Someone grabbed my camera and took some selfies without me knowing. 🤣 Bwahahah!! Absolutely perfect! 

     Oh, my goodness!! The brotherhood is so precious and so, so strong!! Tonight is Friday night, and Andrew is on vacation for the first time in 7 months! We leave for Lakewood in two days, but tonight we treated the boys to cfa for dinner and kids bowl free at junction lanes. Cfa was precious and very energetic, seeing as how the kiddos were bouncing off the walls allllll day long, we got to Junction Lanes at 8pm on a Friday night, though, and there was a 45 minute wait to get a lane. No prob! We just wondered around the arcade instead, and eventually spent $10 to buy a card so the boys could play a few games. They had a blast! Jasper did the zombie apoclopyse where he shoots the zombies, Brody did his favore game where he pulls back the handle and tries to get the ball at the 500 point slot, and Walker of course did the claw machine where he tried to win a stuffie.      When it was time to redeem the points, both Jasper AND Brody insisted on giving all ...

     One thing that I never, ever want to forget about Walker is how his money burns a hole in his pocket. Always. Always, always, always, always. It doesnt' just burn a hole in his pocket, it lights a fire in his whole pants and burns through his pocket and all the way down to the soles of his feet. He can't help it. He wants to spend it on the very first thing he has opportunity to! Always!       For example, today we had to run a few errands to get ready for Lakewood on Sunday, Walker had $4, and just this morning, he wanted to spend it on: - vitamins from Walgreens for $18.99 - sunscreen from Walgreens that was buy 1 get 1 half off - an antique vase from Treasures Lost and Found for $30 - a mother/baby beanie baby duo from Treasures Lost and Found for $20 - a button you push and it played weird sayings from Treasure Lost and Found (have no idea how much it cost) - chapstick from the Ortho dentist appointment - a bird toy from Pet Supermarket for Be...

 Since we covered some of the things that Walker loves in the previous day, today I decided to ask all the boys what are some things that they don't love. 🤣 And their answers are completely fitting for their personalities!  Jasper 14 years old (mainly food-related)- "going to the dentist, black carrots (aka mushroosms- they were in our soup tonight and apparently Jasper did NOT like them), any vegetables, and chips." (side note- we had just gone to the dentist that morning and it was not a pleasant experience) Brody 11 years old- "when your football game gets cancelled when you're already half way to the field on Saturday morning."  Poor guy, that happened to us 3 times in this past 6 week flag football season. It was so painful, bc in 2 instances, it was barely, barely raining. It takes a major effort for all of us to get up at 7:30 on a Saturday morning and eat breakfast, get all the boys in the correct uniforms, pack the car, load all the chairs and snac...

     With the birthday countdown looming ever closer, I decided to try to write down something each day that I want to always remember about this time in Walker's life. So, I asked Walker tonight after Wednesday night church, "Walker, what's one thing you always want me to remember about your life right now?"     I truly thought I would get a serious answer from him. What was I thinking?! 🤣 Joke's on me, b/c Walker's big brothers immediately started telling him what to say! Jasper told Walker to say that Jasper is the most handsome man in all the world! Of course, Jasper said this while ripping his shirt off, flexing, and strutting around the kitchen in all of his 14 year old teenage glory! And then Brody immediately told Walker to say that Brody was the strongest and fastest man in the world. And then Brody... in addition to Jasper... started flexing and strutting around the kitchen in all his 11 year old glory. Walker, meanwhile, has collapsed on the floor,...

Walker only has 15 days left of being 7!! cue the waterworks! 😭 He's growing up so fast, I can't believe it!! His birthday is so, so, so close, considering he started the countdown at 90 days! 😂 he is so so SOO excited about his birthday and has big plans and ideas for what he wants to do, including a big friend party at Urban Air (not happening, too expensive), a big friend party at Chuck E. Cheese (not happening for aforementioned reasons 🤑), playing tag with Atticus and Declan (definitely happening!), water balloons, and more! For his birthday wishlist, he really wants a deer head to hang on his wall, a French fry maker, 1,000 Legos, a remote control car, a snow cone maker, Pokemon cards, the Lego starship death star thingy, etc. He's so precious! Walker loves to show me his special things. For example, last night, Walker asked me to watch him smear ice cream all over his face. 🤣  And then this morning, Walker woke up and asked me to watch him perform a magic trick; ...
