precious brothers

 I love these brothers so so much! They are SUCH a gift to my heart! 

A few examples...

1. the other day, I was in the kitchen cooking with Walker, and Brody came in and said, "hey Walker! Do you want to go to the basement with me?" and Walker sweetly inquired, "Why?" and Brody said, "Oh, you know! To talk and make plans and stuff." to which Walker enthusiastically replied, "Oh YES!!!!! I LOVE making plans with you!!!" and they both scampered off together before I could even blink. It was SO sweet!!!

2. right now, I'm sitting in the school room, working in lesson plans for tutoring tomorrow, and Brody and Walker are in the hallway right outside the school room, playing a huge make-believe game with Legos and Ninjago characters. They're doing voices and dramatization and plots and subplots, etc.

3. This morning, Brody chose to go cheer on Jasper at his cross country meet instead of staying with friends to do Community Games, Forum, and Spirit Night at Super Chix. When I kept trying to convince him that he should stay with his friends instead, he repeatedly and emphatically kept telling me that he would rather cheer on his big brother, bc he doesn't have very many opportunities to cheer on his big bro. When I finally gave in and told Brody he could go to the meet, Brody cheered with visible relief!

4. During Walker's most recent root canal procedure, Jasper and Brody stayed home to do school, and Jasper kept sending Walker gifs on my phone, simply to make Walker laugh and to take his mind off the upcoming procedure. It worked! Walker laughed lots and Jasper kept texting Walker to tell him how good he was doing. The nurse technician could not believe how kind and considerate our teenage boy was being to his little brother. She said she has never seen such love and support for someone undergoing a root canal (daddy had been texting and Nana, as well). I love our family so much!!
