ridin' and whistilin'

 a few random things from today:

- Brody has been watching YouTube videos about "how to whistle" for months now. Every day at lunch, he watches and practices and watches and practices. Brody really wants to wear a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and whistle like a cowboy super loud. He practices all.the.time. and he's so super duper close to being able to do it! I'm SO proud of him! His level of diligence and perseverance is so impressive! I hope he can accomplish this and get his dream!

- Randomly, during Math today, Walker turned toward me and said, "Momma, I feel like there's a big difference between ridin' and road trippin'." It caught me off guard b/c we were deep into word problems and digits and things, but then I said to him, "You're right! There is a big difference! Which do you like better?" Walker thought about it for a while, pondered, and then said, "Well.... ridin', you just look out the window. But... road trippin'... you look out the window AND you get to take a nap, so... I think road trippin'. Plus, you get to look forward to goin' places when you do road trippin', and with ridin', you're just goin' to Krogers." Well said, buddy, well said. ❤❤
